Training system
The Department of Spinal Minimally-Invasive Surgery has long been committed to promoting spinal endoscopy technology within and outside Henan Province. It has established the earliest spinal minimally-invasive training system in the province and is also one of China’s earliest institutions to build a practical training base for spinal endoscopy technology.
In 2010, Director Zhou Honggang presided over the First Intervertebral Foramen Endoscopy Training Course of the Third People’s Hospital of Henan Province. Regular training programs for visiting physicians have been carried out, with approximately 20 physicians from 20 hospitals participating each month.
As of September 2026, a total of 195 training sessions have been held. More than 5,000 physicians from hundreds of hospitals across China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chinese Taiwan, Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Jilin, Hunan and Urumqi, have taken part in the training, which has led to the establishment of Henan Provincial Spinal Minimally-Invasive Training System.
