The Intervertebral Disc Center is a national key clinical specialty construction unit and a medical key cultivation discipline in Henan Province. The minimally invasive technology of spinal endoscopy is at the leading level in the province and even in China. There are currently two wards with over 110 beds and more than 60 medical staff, including 6 with senior professional titles, 21 with intermediate professional titles, 2 with doctoral degrees, 2 currently pursuing doctoral degrees, and 15 with master's degrees. The center always adheres to the "minimally invasive" concept of spinal degenerative diseases, focuses on leveraging the advantages of spinal endoscopy, and continues to promote innovation in the diagnosis and treatment technology of intervertebral disc disease.
The intervertebral disc center is characterized by non-surgical treatment, minimally invasive intervention treatment, and surgical treatment for lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, and cervical spondylosis. It is currently the largest and most professional institution for minimally invasive spinal treatment in China. In 1992, minimally invasive techniques were developed in China, from the earliest collagenase dissolution surgery to later percutaneous laser disc vaporization, percutaneous disc cutting and suction, percutaneous disc spiral cutting, percutaneous disc radiofrequency ablation, percutaneous ozone disc oxidation, gradually evolving to the current percutaneous endoscopic discectomy, successfully solving the long-standing problem of minimally invasive spinal intervention and relieving the suffering of patients with lumbar disc herniation and cervical spondylosis; In 2010, China was the first to introduce the world's advanced technology - the intervertebral foramen endoscope surgical system, with nearly 20000 surgical cases so far; Having multiple intervertebral foramen endoscopic surgical systems; In 2013, the introduction of the intervertebral foramen endoscope powered planing system filled a major gap in minimally invasive treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis; In 2014, the advanced "SDS non-surgical spinal decompression system" was introduced, which is an ideal choice for patients who do not undergo surgical treatment and undergo repeated conservative treatment; In 2015, the new Delta technology was launched, which was another major breakthrough for lumbar spinal stenosis; In 2015, MIS-TLIF was used to treat lumbar spondylolisthesis and lumbar spinal stenosis with the assistance of computer navigation channels; Established a specialized health education teacher in 2015; Posterior treatment of cervical spondylosis with intervertebral foramen endoscope in 2015; Computer navigation assisted intervertebral foramen endoscope technology in 2016; In 2016, anterior endoscopic treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy was performed; 2018 extreme lateral approach lumbar interbody fusion XLIF; In 2018, Endo LIF, XLIF and foraminal endoscopic fusion technology were used for spinal endoscopy, and in 2020, OLIF, a minimally invasive anterior lateral approach for spinal interbody fusion, fully entered the era of intelligence.At present, the overall level of minimally invasive spinal intervention treatment in our center is rapidly advancing. The first domestic treatment of thoracic spinal stenosis under intervertebral foramen endoscopy has filled the domestic gap and reached the international leading level. The anterior and posterior treatment of cervical spondylosis under intervertebral foramen endoscopy has reached the domestic leading level. The 3D navigation guided intervertebral foramen endoscopy technology currently being developed makes spinal minimally invasive more accurate, safe, and minimally invasive.
