Specialized Alliance

As a key specialty of this Grade A Tertiary General Hospital, the Department of Spinal Minimally Invasive Surgery has long dedicated itself to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of comprehensive minimally invasive spinal technologies, delivering fruitful achievements in technological introduction and innovative research. Supported by advanced techniques including full-visual spinal endoscopy and unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) spinal surgery, the department provides full-coverage diagnosis and treatment for all spinal degenerative diseases, realizing precision in routine surgeries and minimal invasiveness in complex spinal procedures. Since the introduction of spinal endoscopy technology, the department has successfully completed more than 50,000 surgeries.

While excelling in clinical technology innovation, the department upholds the philosophy of open sharing and collaborative development to break industrial technical barriers. It has established a comprehensive four-in-one national technology promotion system that integrates advanced physician training, online live surgical broadcasts, specialized discipline alliances, and on-site academic visits, which comprehensively drives the standardized and homogeneous development of spinal minimally invasive technology across China. As the official training base for restricted spinal endoscopy technologies in Henan Province, the department has organized 195 advanced training courses and 162 live surgical salons. It has pioneered the establishment of a cross-regional specialized medical alliance covering 22 provincial regions nationwide and 142 medical institutions at home and abroad, and has received observational and academic exchange delegations from hundreds of hospitals.

This systematic training and promotion model fills the gap in standardized technical education for spinal minimally invasive surgery at home and abroad, widely popularizes minimally invasive medical concepts, and promotes in-depth collaborative development with peer hospitals. It greatly advances the standardization of spinal minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment. Committed to eliminating technical barriers and promoting unified, standardized and homogeneous clinical practice, the department strives to popularize high-quality minimally invasive spinal technologies and benefit more patients worldwide.
